Terms & conditions
These terms cover buying from The Vault TCG London through this website. They do not affect your statutory rights.
Reservations, not orders
Reserving items on this site is a request to hold stock, not a completed sale. No payment is taken online. A reservation is confirmed when we send you a reference, and it is held for 72 hours; after that we may put the items back on sale.
Stock and pricing
Most single cards are one-off items. Where two people reserve the same card, the first reservation wins and we will tell the second straight away.
Prices include VAT where applicable. Second-hand single cards are typically sold under the VAT margin scheme, so a VAT invoice cannot be issued for them.
We try hard to keep prices right and occasionally get one wrong. If a price is obviously incorrect — an order of magnitude out — we will contact you rather than fulfil it, and you are under no obligation to accept the corrected price.
Market prices shown on listings
Where a market rate appears next to our price, it is the current going rate for that card in that condition from third-party sold-price data. It is a reference point, not a price we previously charged, and it is never presented as a discount from our own former price.
Condition descriptions
Condition grading is our honest judgement, applied conservatively. If you disagree with a grade on arrival, see returns — we would rather take a card back than have you doubt the next description you read.
Events
Weekly play nights are free to attend unless stated. Ticketed events are refundable up to 48 hours before; after that we will try to resell the seat but cannot promise it. We may ask anyone to leave who makes the room unpleasant for other people, and we will not refund them.
Age
Under-16s are welcome in the shop and at events, with an adult on the premises for evening sessions. We do not knowingly take reservations or buy collections from under-18s.
Liability
We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by us breaking these terms. We are not responsible for the future value of any card. Trading cards are collectables, prices move both ways, and nothing on this site is investment advice.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
